The Official Fringe returns in style in 2024 with 13 incredible venues and over 140 performances! This is the street party aspect of the Blues. With acts performing at pubs, clubs and venues the length of town all weekend... and most are free of charge. Over the years Colne has become a hotbed for talented local musicians and year in, year out the Official Fringe provides a platform to showcase their talents. Once again the line-up has been curated by the Colne Blues Society – a creative collective comprising of local musicians, blues fans, and events entertainment aficionados who have been working hard to make Get ready… The Official Fringe is back for 2025, bigger, louder, and more exciting than ever! With over 150 performances spread across 16 unique venues, the Fringe transforms Colne into a town-wide celebration of music and community spirit. From buzzing pubs and clubs to tucked-away bars and unexpected hotspots, the festival fills every corner of Colne with live music all weekend long. This isn’t just an add-on to the main event; the Fringe is the beating heart of the festival’s street party atmosphere. At the core of this musical explosion is the Colne Blues Society, a passionate collective of musicians, blues fans, and live music experts. Since 2023, they've also led the artistic direction of the main festival stages, ensuring a lineup that’s rich, diverse, and full of local flavour. Whether you're a die-hard blues lover or simply chasing good vibes, The Official Fringe is your perfect excuse to explore, dance, and celebrate all weekend long.
