FIELD DAY & SOAPBOX DERBY Longridge Field Day is one of the highlights of the town’s calendar and we absolutely love being part of it. The parade of decorated floats, created by local schools and community groups, is always fantastic to see and the atmosphere across the day is brilliant, with live music, entertainment and food stalls for everyone to enjoy. Since opening our Longridge office, this event has become a firm favourite for us. In 2025, we handed out hundreds of free frisbees to children, which went down a storm and our selfie frame proved just as popular, capturing lots of smiling faces throughout the day. Here at Pendle Hill Properties , we love supporting local events across Lancashire and the Ribble Valley. From Easter colouring competitions to handing out Hershey’s bars at family fun days, 2025 was another year full of fun and community spirit. The next few pages feature some of the highlights!

Every year, we love running our Easter colouring competitions in Longridge and Padiham. It’s such a joy seeing local children and their families getting creative, while also helping to support our high streets and encourage everyone to #ShopLocal. Kids are invited to colour and decorate an Easter egg drawing, then hand it in to a participating outlet, where they receive a free Easter egg from us. We work closely with local councils and community groups, and it’s always wonderful to see the pride it brings. In 2025, we received hundreds of entries and we loved seeing so many happy, smiling faces enjoying the fun!

HEROES WITH A SWEET TOUCH IN BURNLEY!

The Longridge Soapbox Derby is such a fun event that really captures the imagination in the town. While we left the racing to the experts in 2025, we loved being part of the action. We handed out 500 flags for spectators to wave and cheer on the teams. It was incredible to see the range of carts, with creative designs inspired by everything from Thunderbirds to Mario Kart, plus so many inventive builds that wowed the crowds. Being part of the excitement and seeing the smiles on children and families alike makes the Soapbox Derby one of our favourite community events of the year.

We love supporting the Healthier Heroes Uniformed Services Family Fun Day in Burnley. Over the past three years, we’ve handed out more than a thousand Hershey’s bars and toy parachutists to children under 12, sharing the story of Col. Gail Seymour Halvorsen, the Candy Bomber, who dropped sweets to children during the Berlin Airlift. It is always wonderful to see the children’s faces light up as they enjoy their treats and the WWII jeep on display at Towneley Park is a huge hit for photos. Being part of this event and meeting the local community is something we truly enjoy each year.

Our team handed out 300 advent calendars to delighted children and the atmosphere outside our Berry Lane office was buzzing with excitement. The children were thrilled to take home their advent calendars, and our Christmas selfie frame quickly became a highlight of the night, capturing lots of happy faces.
