Success Is No Mistake

Moorland School has produced many Academy level and professional players. The school is recognised at a regional, national and international level as being the recruiting ground for many of the leading clubs and academies. Our UEFA A & B Licensed Coaches have been regionally and internationally recognised as being of the highest level, having been invited to deliver coaching training sessions and talent identification scouting missions within the UK, Germany, Cyprus, Dubai, America, Kenya, Hong Kong, Qatar, China, Singapore and Russia to name but a few destinations. Our international blend of players have been technically developed under the close guidance and tutelage of the world-famous coach, Mr Charlie Jackson. Coach Jackson has built an outstanding reputation for developing winning teams within major national football competitions. “Charlie Jackson is one of the most progressive, forward thinking football coaches I have seen. Having witnessed his school team in action, you could be forgiven for thinking it was Arsenal or Barcelona in their prime. If you want to give your child the best possible opportunity to succeed in the game then working with Charlie at Moorland will give them every chance.”

We can all afford to dream… and dreams, hopes and ambitions are what life is all about, whether it’s on the football pitch, in the classroom or whatever career you choose to follow. It is our responsibility to ensure we offer a safe, happy and caring learning environment, where all of our young learners achieve their true potential in as many areas of their education as possible. This is our promise to you, and one that is naturally translated into our Moorland Football Academy coaching philosophy. Developing a players technical ability and awareness for the game through our ‘Elite’ or ‘Academy’ programmes, will naturally offer real challenges to our young players. Questions may be asked in regards to physicality, awareness, fitness, technical ability and attitude towards working hard to achieve personal goals. Coach Jackson will work tirelessly hard to develop our young players, however they must also listen, engage and work hard if they are to maximise their true potentials and opportunities both on and off the pitch. We seek the support and understanding of our parents and in this our hope is that they will trust our coaching staff’s professional judgements and acknowledge that players must be full prepared prior to undergoing professional trials. There are no guarantees in sport and certainly not in football, as players can become injured, lack physicality, the correct aptitude or work ethic that is required to become successful within the game. Therefore our promise to parents and players is that we will work tirelessly hard to technically develop our players, whilst encouraging competitive match play and present opportunities to be noticed by scouts at all academy levels within the game. With the opportunities being present, it is now down to the individual to seize their moment and their dreams. Moorland Football Academy – Our Promise, Your Promise...

Usually running through both the Easter and Summer holidays each year, the camps offer a blend of high-quality football coaching and fun activities for each participant. There are residential and non-residential options for each camp. The coaching is delivered by our UEFA A & B licensed coaching team.
