Moorland School has a strong tradition and reputation for academic excellence, high achievement in sporting competitions and for providing a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Small class sizes, capped significantly lower than most other schools, allow us to offer bespoke tuition for each student. Any identified learning or player need is identified early and fully addressed to enhance their development and potential. Every student at the Moorland Football Academy has access to our fantastic range of facilities both on campus and within our immediate locality. These facilities include a brand-new training pitch, to sit alongside our indoor 4G training centre. Having an indoor facility ensures our players can train day or night, in good or poor weather conditions. Moorland students also have access to the first-class facilities at Brockhall, home to the Blackburn Rovers Academy, one of only 24 Category 1 Academies in England. Our boarding accommodation is safe, secure, spacious, modern and provides a genuine ‘home from home’ atmosphere. The dorms are designed to provide spacious and modern accommodation within school. The boarding houses enjoy a favourable location as these are located 3 minutes away by foot from all of the local amenities, which include boutiques, restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets, banks, hairdressers, fitness and medical centres. Clitheroe is also fortunate to have a train station, which serves Manchester directly on an hourly basis. Full boarding students receive four nutritious meals per day, seven days per week, prepared by the school’s qualified team of chefs.
