The Fort Vale Colne Grand Prix returns in spectacular style in 2024 as we celebrate our 20th anniversary. Brand new for this year’s event is the addition of an Elite Women’s Race, which will be sponsored by Fort Vale. This will be the fi rst time in the event’s 20 year history that it has featured a women’s only Elite Race. We are thrilled to welcome a number of British UCI Continental Teams to the 2024 Fort Vale Colne Grand Prix. For the Men’s Elite Race we will proudly welcome back the Saint Piran team to Colne, while the Saint Piran WRT team will also be competing in the Women’s Elite Race. There will also be four additional UCI Continental Teams taking part in the Women’s Elite Race including Doltcini O’Shea, DAS-Handsling Bikes, Alba Development Road Team and Pro-Noctis – 200 Degrees Co ff ee – Hargreaves Contracting.

It will be a fantastic honour to welcome so many incredible cyclists to our small town of Colne.

Alongside the British UCI Continental Teams, we will also be joined by a number of other teams for this year’s event including some extremely promising Elite Development Teams. In the Men’s, we will welcome 360cycling, Prologue Racing Team, Ribble Rebellion, Richardsons Trek DAS, Ride Revolution Coaching, Spectra Racing, TAAP Kalas, Thriva – SCRT and Wheelbase CabTech Castelli. Over in the Women’s Race and the UCI Continental Teams will be joined on the track by Doltcini – Cycling Division, Jadan Vive le Velo Glasdon, Loughborough Lightning, Spectra Racing and Team Boompods.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Colne Grand Prix is a momentous occasion and on behalf of Colne Town Council, I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in his fantastic event over the years. It has become a key date in the calendar for people both locally and across Lancashire, and it has continued to grow and grow over the years. To be able to celebrate the 20th anniversary with the inclusion of a new race has been wonderful. We have so many keen young female cyclists in the local area and this will only inspire them even more. Over the years the Colne Grand Prix has also been a great opportunity to promote so many of our incredible local businesses, many of whom stay open late on the night, so our crowds can enjoy a drink and a bite to eat. All that is left for me to say is thank you. Thank you to all the organisers, volunteers, local businesses and sponsors who have continuously excelled to produce year in, year out, one of the most eagerly anticipated events in Lancashire.
