It was resolved to ask the Stables Committee to transfer junior clerk J. Haworth to the Transport Department at the rate of pay for a junior clerk. The Borough Treasurer then submitted the following statements of the Revenue Account and the Appropriation Account of the undertaking for the year ending March 31 st , 1930. TRAMWAYS UNDERTAKING Note 1 The Sub-Committee considered the question of the Depreciation & Renewals Fund and following discussions it was resolved “That with a view to ascertaining the financial position of the undertaking, the Borough Surveyor should submit an estimate of the cost of removing the tramway tracks and reinstating the road surfaces on all the tramway routes based on the rates already agreed upon. He should also report with regard to the outstanding debt and the period remaining for its repayment.
