February The Legal & Parliamentary Committee heard a letter from the Clerk of Church District Council suggesting a meeting with a small deputation to discuss the possibility of an extension of the tramway into Oswaldtwistle. It was resolved the Chairman and the Town Clerk would form this deputation in order to represent the Council . The Finance Committee reported they had taken out insurance for the Ellison Street tramway depot for the sum of £4,000.
