The Official Fringe returns for 2026, bringing even more live music to the streets, pubs and venues of Colne. With more than 170 performances across 17 venues, the Fringe once again transforms the town into a vibrant celebration of blues, roots and live music, creating an atmosphere that's unique to the Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival. From well-loved pubs and clubs to intimate bars and hidden gems, every venue offers something different, giving festival-goers the chance to discover new artists alongside familiar favourites. It's all part of what makes the festival so special, with music spilling out onto the streets and around every corner. At the heart of The Official Fringe is the Colne Blues Society, whose passion, knowledge and commitment continue to shape an outstanding programme. Since taking on the artistic direction of the festival's main stages in 2023, CBS has helped strengthen the festival's reputation while ensuring it remains true to its blues roots.
