The Great British R&B Festival 2025

MAIN VENUES EXCHANGE PROJECT STAGE

SUNDAY 24TH AUGUST

17:00 – 18:00: Kaspar & The Swamp Dogs

Kaspar’s blues obsession began at 12, blending vintage sounds with raw, soulful energy that belies his 24 years. Born in London and raised in Hertfordshire, a family friend gave him his first guitar, sparking his blues journey after discovering Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Pride and Joy. At 18, Kaspar performed at B.B. King’s Blues Club in New Orleans, where producer Harold Marcho

discovered him and helped record his debut single, Sailing. He usually performs with his trio, Kaspar & The Swamp Dogs, featuring Ian Davidson and Mia Casey. Kaspar and his cohorts are writing a new chapter in the history of British blues. More blistering singles and scintillating gigs to follow in the coming months.

19:00 – 20:00: Lightning Threads

Lightning Threads are a high-energy trio from Sheffield, known for electrifying performances and a gritty, soul-stirring sound. They fuse vintage blues with a modern edge,

delivering raw, powerful riffs and solos that echo classic rock legends. Their reputation for turning every venue into a roaring, sweat-soaked blues revival captivates audiences from start to finish. With infectious energy and tight musicianship, Lightning Threads create a bolt of emotion, groove and rock ’n’ roll attitude. They are quickly becoming one of the most exciting and dynamic acts on the UK rock scene today.
