ToWELLInG & RoBES We recommend that new towels and robes should be washed before use, as it takes several washes to achieve their maximum absorbency & softness. It also prevents threads pulling. Shake out towels before loading into the washing machine to allow the washing liquor to penetrate. always wash white goods on their own to prevent dye contamination. Detergents containing optical whiteners will improve the visual whiteness of white cotton goods. coloured products should be washed with items of a similar colour. Do not use detergents that contain optical brighteners as this will mask the true shade and diminish the colour. Washing in hard water may give a harsh feel to your towels. Fabric conditioner can be used to improve the aroma and softness of your towels but use only small amounts as softener can lubricate fibres, reducing absorbency and can lead to fibre loss. Do not over dry towels in the tumble dryer. This can lead to a dull, grey appearance and shrinkage. If you see a stray pulled loop on your towel/robe please cut off with a pair of scissors, this will not damage the item. Do not use towels to clean up bathroom spills or wipe down after cleaning. Bathroom detergents and some beauty products, such as cleansers, contain bleaching agents that may cause permanent discolouration to your towel/robe. Some hair dye and other beauty therapy chemicals contain Benzyl Peroxide which can cause some colours to be destroyed resulting in a discoloured towel.

FILLED PRoDUcTS In order to get the best performance from your filled product please follow these simple guidelines: 1. Remove the item from the outer carton and polythene packaging and lay it flat on the bed, which will allow air to immediately circulate around and begin the expansion process. For pillows, leave for approximately 5 minutes. For duvets and toppers leave up to 24 hours. During this time the product will begin to expand and develop to its normal loft. 2. Taking the product in each hand and starting at the centre of each side, gently pad. This will allow inner fibres to spread evenly whilst allowing more air to circulate in and around them thus increasing loft throughout the body. Repeat this process until the product appears even. It is very important to ‘tease’ the product and noT to shake as this will cause compacting of the fibres/filling and produce lumpiness.

teXtile caRe To ensure the best laundering results, please follow the care instructions given for each product. In order to maximise the life of our products please follow our general guidelines for use:

LaUnDERInG FILLED PRoDUcTS For comfort and hygiene always use quilts with an outer cover and

air at regular intervals. clean with a soft brush.

Local soiling may be cleaned with a damp sponge using hand hot water with a mild detergent. Lightly rinse affected area and dry by airing. For heavy soiling, quilts are hand washable at a warm temperature (40ºc) with mild detergent or can be washed in a commercial machine. Short spin or gently squeeze out excess water by hand. Do not wring.

BEDLInEn new items should be washed before use to remove loose fibres and any residual chemicals from manufacture. always wash white goods on their own to prevent dye contamination. Detergents containing optical whiteners will improve the visual whiteness of white cotton goods. coloured products should be washed with items of a similar colour. Do not use detergents that contain optical brighteners as this will mask the true shade and diminish the colour. Do not use chlorine bleach, even on white goods. Bleach will chemically damage and weaken the fibres and, on coloured items, will result in permanent colour loss. To avoid shrinkage, do not dry products at high temperatures. Best results are achieved when bedlinen is ironed slightly damp, particularly cotton. TaBLE anD KITcHEn LInEn new items should be washed before use to remove loose fibres and any residual chemicals from manufacture. Shake out items to remove cutlery, solid food residues and any other items that may have become tangled with the product before washing.

Wash loads should be organised according to their level of soiling. Heavy staining should be pre-treated. all polyester tablecloths should be washed separately from 100% cotton and polycotton blends, as loose fibres from cotton and polycotton blends can deposit lint onto the polyester linens. For 100% polyester items that are heavily soiled, wash temperatures can be increased to a maximum of 60° c but will require a gradual cool down. Step down temperature by 5° c increments or less until load is at 45° c as thermal shock may occur if load is cooled down too rapidly. always wash white goods on their own to prevent dye contamination. Detergents containing optical whiteners will improve the visual whiteness of white cotton goods. coloured products should be washed with items of a similar colour. Do not use detergents that contain optical brighteners as this will mask the true shade and diminish the colour. Do not use fabric softeners. These can be a cause of locking in stains and will also affect the absorbency of the fabric. Do not over dry the products as this can cause fibres to become crumpled, particularly products made with polyester, and can cause permanent creasing. cotton products should be ironed slightly damp for best results.
