Employability Skills - Route 1

Employability skills are the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours that are necessary for every job; to get work, stay in work and to do your job well. They are the key to workplace success. Our Employability Skills programme offers an innovative curriculum and a high-quality work experience opportunity, providing you with the best possible support to assist you in laying the foundations for the rest of your life.

• 34 week course with work experience from week 13. • a weekly bursary. • free breakfast and lunch. • an Employability Skills qualification. • Maths and English qualifications (if you don’t already have GCSEs at Grades 4-9). • regular reviews and support. • expert information, advice and guidance. • pastoral support. • opportunities to progress to an Apprenticeship. • parents/guardians will be entitled to child benefits.

Hector Munyongani I enjoy everything about my Employability Skills course with NLTG, especially the fact that it is a path that can lead to success and a good career. The bursary also gives me more independence and I’ve made lots of friends since joining. 17
