In recent years the UK has spoken of a ‘Boomerang Generation’ of kids who have le home, but largely due to financial circumstances, return to live with their parents. For some, being reunited under one roof, is a negative, for other cultures it is totally normal. What are your views on family generations living under the same roof? Marcin Kominek - Polish In Polish culture young people usually leave their parents when they are 20-30 years old. But as we know, the situation in Europe/World in last few years is really difficult. Lots of people don’t havemoney. This is why young people livewith parents or friends. . The reason? To share expenses. migrants and havemade this our home. Tommy Fox - Irish - Retired Air Force

This is a natural aspect in the Polish community that parents help/support their children. I don’t livewith anyone. My parents are in Poland but every day I get help/support from them (emotional, psychological support). David Render -White/English I don't livewith other familymembers. I currently livewithmy partner Justine and her 17-year-old daughter Annalise. However my partner’s two nieces currently livewith Justine's parents – who are their grandparents - due to the difficulties they have in buying their own homes. Munsif Dad - British/Kashmiri I was bought up in a family unit where it is a custom for children to livewith parents and grandparents under one roof. Depending on family size and accommodation suitability, a child would livewith their parents, which usually is the youngest sibling to look aer family/parents. Although, I have recently seen that those families who live in a small terrace housewouldwant their children to live nearby. I livewithmy three children and the other twowho aremarried live in their own homes in the same street. Tommy Fox - Irish I live alone in sheltered accommodation with one room, so in all honesty if any of my kids wanted to livewithme, it would only really work for a week.
