Wide combs are used for general purpose shearing. Available in a variety of widths, ranging from 83mm for beginners to 97mm for experienced shearers. Whilst our best-selling comb is our 94mm short bevel comb, there are bevels suitable for all types of shearing. WHICH BEVEL SIZE? Short bevel (SB) combs have a 3.5mm bevel and feature rounded teeth which make them safe and easy to use when shearing through open English wool. Short bevel are our most popular bevel size, perfect for the farmer who does his own shearing as well as contractors. Medium bevel (MB) combs have a 5mm bevel offering easier entry into the fleece. They are widely used for the majority of crossbred shearing, as well as Texels. These combs are also ideal for early shearing.

Long bevel (LB) combs have a 7mm bevel and are ideal for early shearing with tougher, sticky sheep. This bevel size is aimed more at experienced professional shearers. Suitable for fine wool shearing, such as Merinos.
