Made in the UK, all Longhorn ® and Bulldog driveshafts are manufactured to the highest quality, with stainless steel outer end fittings, so that they withstand the test of time. Manufactured with a spiral bond and crimp process to endure the stresses of everyday shearing. All of our driveshafts are available with a pin or worm option, to fit all handpieces and most are available in three different lengths: short, standard and long. Which to use ? COMB

Standard combs are often used for dagging/tailing sheep, and are also popular for clipping dirty cattle. These combs are designed for versatility and are suitable for light shearing. With a 76mm width and 5mm medium bevel, they are made from high chromium steel to ensure they stay sharp for longer. The straight teeth and medium bevel enters the wool with ease.

Wide combs are used for general purpose shearing. Available in a variety of widths, ranging from 83mm for beginners to 97mm for experienced shearers. Whilst our best-selling comb is our 94mm short bevel comb, there are bevels suitable for all types of shearing. WHICH BEVEL SIZE? Short bevel (SB) combs have a 3.5mm bevel and feature rounded teeth which make them safe and easy to use when shearing through open English wool. Short bevel are our most popular bevel size, perfect for the farmer who does his own shearing as well as contractors. Medium bevel (MB) combs have a 5mm bevel offering easier entry into the fleece. They are widely used for the majority of crossbred shearing, as well as Texels. These combs are also ideal for early shearing.

Long bevel (LB) combs have a 7mm bevel and are ideal for early shearing with tougher, sticky sheep. This bevel size is aimed more at experienced professional shearers. Suitable for fine wool shearing, such as Merinos.
