Community Rail Lancashire (CRL) is an accredited organisation that works to connect the local community to the railway network and deliver initiatives that improve the rail services and facilities. This is achieved through working in collaboration with other rail, community, faith, youth and educational partners as well as Local Authorities to deliver a variety of activities and projects.

1st Call is based within Accrington Arndale and provide support to all residents of Hyndburn, including employment support, financial guidance, housing support, access to initiatives to improve health and wellbeing, access to training and volunteering roles, and advice on other external organisations that offer support and guidance.

Accrington and Rossendale College is a hidden gem in the heart of Hyndburn.

Dunbia Sawley is a slaughter and boning hall facility processing cattle for well-known retail and foodservice customers. The site employs around 500 people and offers several career pathways to suit a variety of different people, including apprenticeships, graduate programmes, butchery academy training as well as student holiday work.
