It’s almost Christmas and what better way to celebrate than with a spectacular evening of entertainment and family friendly fun... at the 2023 Accrington Christmas Light Switch On! Taking place on Thursday 23rd November from 4pm – 7:45pm, we are proud to present a star-studded line up of acts headlined by actor, singer and TikTok star, Junior Andre on stage at 6:50pm. With two number one singles in the iTunes pop chart, over one million social media followers and amassing over 300 million TikTok views, Junior will be a big hit! That performance will be part of an exciting, jam-packed line-up of acts on the main stage, including… the collective school choir, sing-a-longs with Buddy the Elf and Santa, dance classics from Burnley College students, singing from Britain’s Got Talent Finalist Tia Connolly, local talent Sophie Stott, the Sing Space Musical Theatre Choir and a Michael Jackson tribute act, as well as football giveaways with Accrington Stanley and Accrington Stanley Women, a fantastic performance from the world famous Accrington Pipe Band, and the chance to say hello to former Accrington & Rossendale College student Dominic Brunt, best known as Emmerdale’s Paddy. We will also have the big light switch on, before a stunning firework display which will light up the skies of Accrington. In what is set to be an amazing night in our hometown, Accrington Market will also be transformed into a festive Christmas Market, headlined by the extremely popular Finch Bakery. There will also be a full indoor and outdoor market selling a wide range of local food, drinks and crafts, and why not come and have a go on our bucking reindeer in the centre of the Market Hall. Laughter is guaranteed! There’s also wonderful opportunities to #ShopLocal on the night, with a great range of Hyndburn Independents open
