#AmazingAccrington Christmas Extravaganza 2024

Let’s come together to get in the festive spirit and celebrate with a spectacular evening of entertainment and family fun... at the 2024 Accrington Christmas Extravaganza! Taking place on Thursday 28th November from 4pm – 7:45pm, we are proud to present a wonderful evening of fun – with lots to see and do. There’s also the opportunity to #ShopLocal and pick up some gifts, plus plenty of opportunities for food and drink. We’ve got a brilliant line-up of performances on the main stage on Broadway this year, which will start with our host, BBC Radio Lancashire’s Stephen Lowe and myself introducing our school choir performance, with schools from all over Hyndburn who’ve been practising their Christmas songs for weeks. We’ve also been running a spoken word competition, and the winners will be invited on stage to show a video performance of their work. The evening continues with players from Accrington Stanley and Accrington Stanley Women’s teams making an appearance and having some fun, song and dance performances with songs from Frozen, Sing Space Choir, local artist Maggy Conanan, and a fabulous tribute to ABBA for everyone to sing along to. We also have really impressive fire breathers! We will end the evening with a stunning firework display which will light up the skies of Accrington, and we can guarantee snow will be falling all around us! We always have a brilliant final act on our stage show, and this year it’s the absolutely fantastic Martin Kemp, Spandau Ballet musician and actor, bringing us his Back to the Eighties party! You will not want to miss this – the crowd will love it! There are also many opportunities to #ShopLocal on the night, with a great range of Hyndburn Independents open throughout the event, offering everything from

fish & chips to a pair of new shoes. There will be community stalls in the Arndale, and a funfair on Union Street! The #AmazingAccrington events are always brilliant and we really want to see everyone in our community getting together and having some great fun for the start of the festive season.
