Hyndburn has a proven track record of business success, as well as excellent transport infrastructure, with nearby access to the M65. The borough’s proximity to the north’s 29 universities is also advantageous, providing a fresh stream of graduates and acting as central hubs for collaboration between research and industry. New commercial property developments, such as Frontier Park and the established Globe Centre are also providing exciting opportunities, giving both new and old enterprise in the region room to expand and grow. One #AmazingAccrington meeting was hosted at Frontier Park, where Alex Kenwright, the site’s development manager was presenting and predicted the new site would create thousands of new jobs in the area and called for similar ambitious projects to be encouraged.

Business leaders frommany of the flourishing local enterprises gathered at themost recent #AmazingAccrington initiative, where they discovered Hyndburn is outperformingmany other big names in the county. Accrington #2 in ‘Hot-Spot’ List At the meeting the area’s success was celebrated by Professor Simon Bolton of Edge Hill University, who demonstrated that local businesses are achieving annual growth rates of 20%, putting Accrington second place in the county, coming just below Chorley and above Preston, Burnley, Lancaster and Lytham in the top 6 ‘hot-spot’ list. This is fantastic news for Hyndburn - based businesses, revealing they are making headway in a county that has some very significant players. Looking into some of the top business success stories in the area it’s easy to see why the borough ranked so high on the list. Hyndburn is Home to Some Big Players #AmazingAccrington is always striving to put Hyndburn on the map for business, as you can see opposite, the map is already host to brilliant businesses that need to be celebrated. Accrington is Proving to be Good for Business… Success stories like these provide clear evidence as to why not just the NorthWest, but Hyndburn specifically is an attractive place for business. This includes both newentrepreneurs layingdown roots for thefirst time and as a relocation opportunity forwell establishedenterprises toprosper.
