WORK EXPERIENCE

Work Experience

As part of the programme of study, learners will take part in an authorised work experience placement. This will be linked to their vocational study, progression routes and career goals. Learners are encouraged to find their own placements, which are best suited to them and are supported each step of the way by course tutors, and a dedicated Work Experience Team. The college will assess the suitability of all placements, including checks on health and safety and insurance before approving any external placements and will be on hand to support learners throughout the placement. External placements not only provide our learners with an opportunity to build relevant work experience and get a taste of their chosen industry, but many learners are able to secure voluntary or part time work, and even apprenticeship positions.
