OPEN EVENINGS AND TOURS 2018 - 2019

Apprentice Assessment Centre Our Apprentice Assessment Centre runs every Wednesday at 10:00am for anyone wishing to undertake an apprenticeship. As well as completing a basic Maths and English test you will have a personal interview so that we can understand your interests and requirements and help you find the apprentice position you would like. Moving Up Event - 10:00am - 2:00pm • 21 June 2019 This event has been created for applicants to Accrington and Rossendale College to experience life as a student before joining us in September. With the opportunity to experience a ‘lesson’ in your chosen subject, meet staff and fellow students and undertake a range of extra-curricular activities, this event is definitely one NOT to miss. Schools Liaison Team The Schools Liaison Team at Accrington and Rossendale College works closely with schools across the Pennine Lancashire area. We attend Careers Fairs, Parents’ Evenings and Options Evenings and deliver presentations to individual class groups and assemblies. We also get involved with mock interview days, industry/enterprise days, drop-in sessions and can organise taster sessions of college courses to be delivered in school or on our college campus.

Open Evenings Our open evenings provide the perfect opportunity for you to get a feel for Accrington and Rossendale College. You can come along with your parents/carers to see our fantastic facilities, speak to tutors and current students and wander around the campus. V.I.P Tours If you are unable to attend our main college open evenings, please give us a call on 01254 354052 to arrange to visit the college and have a guided V.I.P tour of the entire campus. We can provide a time and date that suits you and your family.

Apprenticeship events provide you with an opportunity to meet the Apprenticeships team and tutors from various subject areas. You can find out about the different apprenticeships we offer, the application process and discuss the current job vacancies available. Our staff are happy to offer advice about future career progression and answer any questions you may have.

Open evenings are intended to allow you to take a closer look at the college’s facilities, a chance to meet staff and students, take part in fun activities and learn more about the ranges of courses available to you.
